The grant will go toward the Tacoma/South Puget Sound MESA program, which prioritizes early exposure to STEM topics and

program during the summer of 1999 during a sabbatical leave, and Lindsey in the summer of 2006. During the apprenticeship program we learned how to care for captive chimpanzees and assisted with ongoing research projects. Now we continue to volunteer at the Chimposiums held at CHCI. These are educational programs that inform the public about the sign language studies this particular family of chimpanzees has been involved in as well as providing information about the plight of free-living chimpanzees

Nurse Practitioner (FNP) students in rural and underserved communities to administer primary care to those in need.The money comes in the form of an Advanced Education Nursing Traineeship (AENT) grant for the 2016-17 academic year, awarded by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). It will cover tuition and living stipends for students in the FNP program. Those students already have clinical experiences in a variety of clinics in the
