The Code of Ethics for Nursing created by the American Nurses Association (ANA) is the gold standard for ethical professional and practice conduct. All faculty and nursing students at PLU School of Nursing are held to this code of ethics “for carrying out nursing responsibilities in a manner consistent with quality in nursing care and the ethical obligations of the profession” (ANA, 2014)

No alcohol can be served or consumed at any on campus event unless an approved “Application for Campus Event with Alcohol” is on file with Hospitality Services. PLU Catering must be contracted to provide food and non alcoholic beverages for the event. Alcohol and the service thereof must be contracted through 208 Garfield. The application can be found on PLU Catering’s website.

Residential students are responsible for all activity in their rooms, even if a guest or visitor allegedly commits the violation, and/or if the student is not in the room at the time of the violation. Individuals residing in South Hall are responsible for all activity in common areas of their apartment as well as the bedroom to which they are assigned.
