LUTHERAN HIGHER EDUCATION The “L” in PLU Maybe you already know it stands for “Lutheran”. ‘Do you have to be Lutheran to go to PLU?’ Answer: Nope. 10% of our students are Lutheran. Major in Outreach Education 55 semester hours The outreach education major is designed to prepare candidates for non-school type of educative jobs. Candidates in this program are prepared to be educational leaders in the community, but do not fulfill requirements for residency certification.
