Students may participate, on an informal basis, in interviews with applicants for faculty positions. Notice of visits by applicants may be extended in class. Students interested in participating in summer interviews, if any, should notify the Dean’s assistant of their interest and willingness to be contacted.

PLU welcomed its first cadre of Act Six Scholars to the campus community. Act Six is an Urban Leadership Scholarship, sponsored by the Northwest Leadership Foundation, for emerging urban leaders who want to use their college education to make a difference on campus and in their communities.

The accelerated BSN program is for students who have already had some non-nursing college credits. The school collaborates with more than 100 health agencies to provide optimal clinical learning experiences for its students, under the supervision of its faculty members. Clover Creek became a prominent system in Parkland’s early neighborhoods, captivating locals, and providing adequate water supplies. “Even when we came here in 1925, it was an adequate swimming place for neighborhood children.” (Emma Ramstad). Many other Parkland settlers acknowledge the creek system as their main water supply.
