Stan Sanvel Rubin Founding Director Biography Biography Stan Sanvel Rubin is founding director of the Rainier Writing Workshop at PLU.  He served for over twenty years as Director of the Brockport Writers Forum and Videotape Library (SUNY), a multi-faceted literary arts program.  He holds the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching.  His most recent book of poetry is There. Here. (Lost Horse Press, 2013).  Other books include The Post-Confessionals, a collection of his interviews

throughout the U.S., Europe, and Japan, and is a founding member of the Left Coast Brass, and Oly Chamber Brass. Ryan is also in demand as an educator. In addition to maintaining a private low brass studio, he is Lecturer of Trombone at Pacific Lutheran University and is also on faculty at Saint Martin’s University teaching the trombone studio and brass pedagogy. As an active clinician, he has presented on trombone pedagogy at the Washington Music Educators Association State Conference, the National

. Currently, at PPE, Angenette is serving the PK-12 community, managing inservice and professional development offerings for educators, as well as other community-building opportunities.
