Council Auditions and the San Francisco Merola Opera Program Auditions, her repertoire includes many roles. In 1983 she won an apprenticeship with the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists and was an active participant in the Chicago opera community. She was a member of both the Chicago Lyric Opera Chorus and the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the direction of Margaret Hillis, and a recipient of the Margaret Hillis Fellowship.
