Owen’s Jazz Surge Band, the Colorado Jazz Repertory Orchestra, and the UNC Jazz Lab Band I, among others. Vianna’s compositional styles range from popular music and Brazilian jazz to classical chamber pieces and works for large jazz ensembles. His most recent CD, the album Infância (2017, Teal Creek Music) features his original compositions for jazz orchestra, which are published by UNC Jazz Press. Her chamber and symphonic music has been performed by the Almeda Trio, the Amici Quartet, the Delgani Quartet, Concert Black, the Fairbanks Arts Festival Symphony, the University of Minnesota Symphony, and the Hiram String Symphony. She received a Foreign Language Area Studies grant to study advanced Norwegian in Oslo; an American Scandinavian Foundation creative artist grant; and a Swedish intercultural exchange grant as a

University.  Mr. Rine is currently principal clarinet of the Northwest Sinfonietta and the Tacoma Symphony.  Since moving to the Pacific Northwest in 1988 he has worked extensively with the Seattle Symphony, Seattle Opera, Pacific Northwest Ballet, the Northwest Chamber Orchestra and the Auburn Symphony.  In addition, Mr. Rine teaches band at Curtis Junior High School.

Philharmonic, Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, and with the Lyric Brass at PLU.  He studied tuba performance with Ron Munson in Seattle, Steve Call at Brigham Young University, and Gary Ofenloch at the University of Utah.  Before coming home to the Pacific Northwest, Paul was Principal Tuba of the Boise Philharmonic and played frequently with the Utah Symphony.  He performs regularly as a soloist and chamber musician and has been soloist with the Boise Philharmonic, Tacoma Symphony, and Lyric Brass.
