Since its founding in 1890 by Norwegian minister Bjug Harstad, PLU has nurtured its Nordic roots. She is also on the Advisory Panel of the Women in Global Health Seattle chapter. She holds Master’s degrees in Social Work and Public Health, both from Columbia University
