Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, National Healthcare Disaster Provider and Correctional Healthcare Provider.   As a former member of the US military, I have had the opportunity to practice, teach and lead healthcare in many diverse environments, cultures, communities and populations throughout the world.  I hope to share these experiences with my PLU community

She received an M.M. in choral conducting at the Ohio State University and a B.M. in vocal performance at the University of Texas-El Paso after beginning studies in piano, voice, and trumpet at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee while working as a pianist for the Milwaukee Ballet and singer with the Florentine Opera chorus. Dawn’s first opera, Verlorene Heimat, the true story of World War II refugees, premiered at Hiram College in 2015 and was performed at the Cleveland

I encourage students to be active learners who collaborate with classmates rather than compete, and I challenge them to apply the knowledge learned to their everyday lives so that they can be environmentally-conscious and scientifically-literate members of society.

He holds Master of Music and Bachelor of Music degrees from Louisiana State University. Previous choral appointments include Visiting Associate Director of Choral Studies at Louisiana State University; Conductor of the UNT Men’s Chorus and Conducting Associate of the UNT A Cappella Choir
