Antonios Finitsis’ approach to biblical literature is deeply socio-historical. Since this literature was shaped under the shadow of powerful empires, his research revolves around the lasting impact of colonial interests and power structures in the expression of religion and religious tradition. His most recent book is a collection of essays that examine the numerous ways in which dress communicates power in the Hebrew Bible.
