His has combat tours in Iraq for Desert Shield/Desert Storm in Southwest Asia, and in Somalia. Specific assignments included multiple Commands

In her free time, she enjoys practicing various forms of Yoga, as well as reading about philosophy, psychology, and re-watching classic comedies such as Seinfeld.
