  • Council Auditions and the San Francisco Merola Opera Program Auditions, her repertoire includes many roles. In 1983 she won an apprenticeship with the Lyric Opera Center for American Artists and was an active participant in the Chicago opera community. She was a member of both the Chicago Lyric Opera Chorus and the Chicago Symphony Chorus under the direction of Margaret Hillis, and a recipient of the Margaret Hillis Fellowship.   • Northwest Sinfonietta.  Mrs. Peterson is an active freelance player in the Puget Sound area performing with the Pacific Northwest Ballet Orchestra, the Seattle Symphony, the Seattle Opera, and the Fifth Avenue Theatre.  She has performed with the Philadelphia String Quartet and has appeared on the Second City Chamber Music Series.  She is a coach for the Seattle Youth Symphony and maintains a large private studio.
