In her first few years, she taught a few flute students, but as the years went by her responsibilities eventually grew to include instructing theory classes and directing the flute ensemble. Dr. Bennett has taught previously at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music and has given master classes at the Beijing Central Conservatory, Shanghai Conservatory, and the Chinese Cultural University in Taipei, Taiwan.
