at PLU, an initiative supported by a recent award to PLU from the National Science Foundation’s S-STEM Program. Beginning in Spring 2022, Dr. Auman accepted the position of Dean of the newly-formed College of Natural Sciences. The College includes the departments previously housed in the Division of Natural Sciences, as well as Psychology and the Environmental Studies program. Through her leadership, Dr. Auman is committed to promoting equity and to building a holistic learning environment for

systems. In 2021, I taught interactive data visualization, and two sections of Research and Analysis for Information Professionals, MSIM Practicum student (10-week capstone). In my career, I have also conducted and designed usability interface tests as part of my software test engineering work at Microsoft. I have designed and executed over eighty usability tests using the Microsoft usability testing facilities as well as doing Contextual Inquiry and Focus group fieldwork. My studies helped evaluate

, and in 2013 created an innovative new course in the PLU School of Business that allows students to earn internship credit and participate in a unique, global project. In this course, students experience and grow in the areas of community building and engagement, outreach and education (locally and globally), fundraising, crowdfunding, and international nonprofit projects.
